Manipal Global Education Services
Headquartered in Bangalore, India, Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) provides major banks, businesses and educational institutions with services that include testing, educational and training program delivery and vocational training. The company also owns and operates universities in India, Dubai, Nepal, Antigua and Malaysia.
Because MaGE is focused on becoming a world leader in providing educational services, they wish to ensure that their learning materials are written as clearly and concisely as possible. Managers within the MaGE Distance Education Unit decided to provide the unit’s content developers with training in the Information Mapping® Method.
Solution: Information Mapping training and services
After learning the Method via classroom training, the content developers sharpened their new skills under the guidance of IM India consultants who reviewed their work and provided feedback via a dedicated portal on the MaGE intranet. Their initial project was application of the Method to create over 350 pages of student learning materials.
The Method is “immensely valuable” to MaGE
The group calls the Method “immensely valuable” for creating well-structured, effective learning materials. Information Mapping is now regarded as an essential skill set within the Distance Education Unit. The unit has implemented a recognition and reward program focused on excellence in applying the Method, and MaGE is in discussion with IM India about the benefits of adopting Information Mapping as their content standard.
